Paris Family Hotel: Family Friendly Places to Stay in Paris

Finding the perfect Paris family hotel requires you to know the best areas for family holidays. The city of Paris is divided into 20 areas, known as an arrondissement and each has its own unique attractions. Visitors new to traveling in Paris may want to consider staying in hotels and/or apartments in the 1st, 4th, 7th, or 19th arrondissement as these tend to be the safest and most “family friendly” locations.

1st Arrondissement

The 1st is on the Right Bank of the Seine River and has a variety of attractions such as the Louvre Museum. Because of the central location there are quite a few hotels in the area, however, a Paris family hotel in this area may be slightly expensive. The area offers several apartments or loft rentals in or near the 1st arrondissement that are typically less expensive than the hotels in the area. One of the best benefit to staying in the 1st arrondissement is that the majority of tourist destinations and family restaurants are within walking distance of the area hotels.

Paris Family Hotel in 4th Arrondissement

The 4th arrondissement is the place to be for families who have an interest in Medieval Paris. There are several well-known tourist sites in this area such as the National Museum of Art and Notre Dame. The Luxembourg Gardens are also in this district which a perfect place to spend the day with children as the Luxembourg Gardens have a great park and playground area for the children.  The 4th arrondissement has a few Paris family hotels; however, the hotels in this area can be slightly expensive due to the convenience of the local attractions. The 4th arrondissement has several less expensive apartments that are an excellent option. Many of the apartments in this area are small and have sofa beds, which is perfect for the children to sleep on.

7th Arrondissement Paris Family Hotel

The 7th arrondissement is where families should visit if they want to be near the Eiffel Tower. The Invalide is also in this arrondissement and is a great location for older children with an interest in history. The 7th arrondissement is where the Musee de Quai Branly Museum is located. The museum is an African and Oceanic Arts Museum which is great for children of all ages. The 7th arrondissement tends to be one of the most expensive areas of all the districts so it is recommended that families seeking inexpensive Paris Family Hotels stay in a nearby arrondissement. The entire city is easily accessed with public transportation so staying outside of the 7th arrondissement will not make it difficult to visit the sites in the area.

19th Arrondissement

The 19th arrondissement is a great area for families with children of all ages. The Museum of Science and Industry is in the 19th arrondissement which is a fun outing for both adults and children.
